The invention provides a straddle type permanent magnet maglev train, and relates to the technical field of straddle type monorail railway vehicles. The permanent magnet track is arranged on the upper surface of the monorail beam; the framework is arranged above the permanent magnet track; the train body is arranged above the framework; the suspension permanent magnet is connected with the framework; the driving device comprises fixed ends and a movable end, the fixed ends are arranged on the two side walls of the monorail beam, and the movable end is connected with the framework. The suspension function of the train body is achieved through cooperation of the suspension permanent magnets and the permanent magnet rails, rubber tires of a traditional straddle type monorail train are replaced for bearing, and abrasion of the rubber tires of the traditional straddle type monorail train is avoided in the running process; the technical problem that due to the fact that the friction coefficient between a walking wheel and a track beam of a traditional straddle type monorail train is large, energy consumption is large is solved.
