The invention relates to a fuel tank venting system for an aircraft. The system includes a sump tank positioned within a fuselage of the aircraft; a main tank including separate first and second tanks positioned adjacently and spaced apart by a rib, the first tank being adjacent to the sump tank; the ventilation oil tank is located on the outer side of the second oil tank, is independent of the second oil tank and comprises an air inlet; the first ventilation pipeline is communicated between the second oil tank and the ventilation oil tank, so that air can enter the second oil tank from the air inlet through the first ventilation pipeline; a second vent line located below and independent of the first vent line and communicating between the second tank and the vent tank, the second vent line including a valve; and a third vent line independent of the first vent line and the second vent line and communicating between the second tank and the vent tank through the rib.
