The invention provides a method and device for determining the remaining charging time of an electric vehicle and a battery management system. The method comprises the steps that the charge state and the battery temperature of a power battery and the maximum charging current of a charging pile are obtained; setting the current moment as a first moment, the state of charge as a first state of charge, and the battery temperature as a first battery temperature; determining the charging current of the power battery based on the first charge state, the first battery temperature and the maximum charging current; determining a second battery temperature and a second state of charge based on the charging current and the first battery temperature; and adding the time step length to the accumulated time. If the second state of charge is not 100%, setting the second moment as the first moment, the second battery temperature as the first battery temperature and the second state of charge as the first state of charge, and returning to execute the operation of determining the charging current; otherwise, determining the accumulated time as the residual charging time of the power battery. According to the invention, the residual charging time of the electric vehicle can be determined more accurately.
