The invention provides an automobile automatic driving redundancy control system and method. The automobile automatic driving redundancy control system comprises a first system-on-chip layer; the second system-on-chip layer and the first system-on-chip layer are used for receiving automobile sensor information; the first micro-control layer is in communication connection with the first system-on-chip layer and the second system-on-chip layer, and the first micro-control layer comprises a fusion verification module, a planning verification module and a redundancy control module; wherein the fusion verification module is used for generating fusion verification information of an automobile driving environment, the planning verification module is used for generating planning verification information of an automobile path, and the redundancy control module is used for generating redundancy control information of an automobile. The method can be applied to advanced automatic driving, redundancy control of an automatic driving system can be achieved when software or hardware goes wrong, and the safety of drivers and passengers is effectively guaranteed.
