The method comprises the steps of substituting a current first output quantity and a historical first output quantity into a target function and a constraint function to obtain a current first rotational inertia of the diesel engine; calculating a current diesel engine output torque according to the current first rotational inertia, and calculating a current clutch transmission torque; controlling the diesel engine to operate according to the current diesel engine output torque and the additional torque provided by the motor, controlling the clutch to act according to the current clutch transmission torque, and controlling the motor to operate according to the current motor output torque; substituting the current diesel engine output torque, the current motor output torque, the current clutch transmission torque and the current error value into the prediction model to obtain a next first output quantity; and the motor and the diesel engine enter a hybrid drive mode until the first rotational inertia reaches a preset value. According to the invention, the effect of controlling the parallel diesel-electric hybrid power ship to switch the driving modes stably, quickly and accurately is achieved.
