The battery thermal management system comprises a battery pack assembly, the battery pack assembly comprises a plurality of battery pack modules connected in parallel and a plurality of liquid cooling plate modules connected in parallel, each battery pack module comprises a battery pack and a relay which are connected in series, and each liquid cooling plate module comprises a liquid cooling plate and an electromagnetic valve which are connected in series; the temperature sensor is electrically connected with the battery pack assembly and is used for acquiring temperature information of the battery pack assembly; the battery management system is electrically connected with the relay, the electromagnetic valve and the temperature sensor, and is used for controlling the working states of the relay and the electromagnetic valve based on the temperature information; the storage battery is electrically connected with the battery management system, the electromagnetic valve and the relay. According to the battery thermal management system, normal work of other electric appliances can be ensured under the condition that the battery pack is subjected to thermal runaway, and the cooling efficiency of the battery pack subjected to thermal runaway is improved.
