The invention relates to a device (10) for attaching an object (91) to an attachment track (15), in particular a seat track in an aircraft or spacecraft (1). The apparatus comprises: a base portion (21) having a support surface (22) adapted to be placed on an outer surface (16) of a rail (15); and a locking element (28) adapted to partially project from the support surface (22) along a projection line (36). The base portion and the locking element are coupled or configured to be coupled such that the locking element is movable relative to the base portion along a protruding line (36) and rotatable relative to the base portion. An end section (29) of the locking element has an end portion (30) formed in a dovetail-shaped manner. The apparatus comprises a tensioning device (45) for tensioning the locking element relative to the rail. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device (100) comprising such a device (10) and an attachment track (15) comprising a track body (50) and a plurality of bushings (55). Furthermore, a method for attaching an object, and a seat track, are presented. The invention can facilitate reliable and rapid attachment of objects, and in particular can be used to prevent corrosion of the attachment track in a cost-effective manner.
