The invention provides an aircraft with a folding mechanism. The aircraft comprises a fuselage; the effective load and/or the undercarriage are/is optionally connected to the lower part of the fuselage; the at least two longitudinal beams are connected to the upper portion and/or the side faces of the fuselage, the at least two longitudinal beams are parallel to each other and extend parallel to the first axis of the aircraft, and each longitudinal beam is connected with a plurality of lifting units; the at least one cross beam is connected to the upper part of the fuselage, and the at least one cross beam is parallel to the second axis of the aircraft and extends at a right angle relative to the longitudinal beams, and the cross beam is connected with the plurality of lifting units; wherein the longitudinal beam is rotatably connected to the fuselage by means of at least one respective first pivot joint, which is designed for pivoting the longitudinal beam about a respective first pivot axis into a pivot position; and the cross beam is rotatably connected to the fuselage by at least one second pivot joint for pivoting the cross beam about a second pivot axis to a pivot position.
