The embodiment of the invention relates to a method and equipment for determining an expected time of arrival (ETA). The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a feature vector of each historical travel in a plurality of historical travels; taking the feature vectors and the actual durations of the plurality of historical travels as a sample set to construct a predicted arrival time estimation model; and determining the predicted time of arrival of the new journey using the constructed predicted time of arrival estimation model. According to the embodiment of the invention, a plurality of historical itineraries are used as the sample set, and the predicted arrival time estimation model is trained through machine learning, so that the predicted arrival time of a new itinerary can be accurately and efficiently estimated.
