A chassis for an autonomous mobile robot includes a molded frame having a stable support action for any payload or additional machine loaded on top of the mobile robot while ensuring rigidity of the chassis while ensuring that the support elements of the sensors remain in a stable position relative to each other. The chassis has several separate compartments for EEE placement. These EEE compartments can be accessed from the sides and ends of the mobile robot by removing detachable cover members. A removable top cover is mounted on top of the molded frame providing a top cover for the central inner compartment and the outer compartments. The side cover and the end cover are arranged for an external compartment and are detachable.
