The invention relates to an escalator or moving sidewalk driver control method, system and equipment, the system comprises a main control board, a driver and a motor, and the driver is connected with the main control board and the motor; the method comprises the following steps: responding to a load change condition on an escalator or a sidewalk to obtain a corresponding output current in a driver; based on a preset reference current, setting a corresponding energy-saving operation condition and an energy-saving exit condition; when the output current meets the energy-saving operation condition, reducing the output voltage of the driver so as to enable the driver to enter a low-power energy-saving mode; and when the output current meets the energy-saving quit condition, the output voltage of the driver is boosted, so that the driver quits the energy-saving mode. By means of the method and device, the problem that operation of the escalator or the sidewalk is affected in the energy-saving mode is solved, the output voltage of the driver is adjusted according to the escalator load, therefore, the output power is reduced, the energy-saving effect is achieved, and the energy-saving mode without affecting operation is achieved.
