The invention relates to an automatic wheel module for a sliding plate type chassis, and belongs to the technical field of electric vehicle wheel modules. The braking mechanism is mounted on the traveling mechanism and used for braking the traveling mechanism; the steering mechanism is connected with the traveling mechanism and used for steering the traveling mechanism; and the suspension mechanism is connected with the steering mechanism. According to the design method and arrangement scheme of the automatic wheel module, the running mechanism, the braking mechanism, the suspension mechanism and the steering mechanism driven by the hub motor are integrated, all the mechanisms are reasonably arranged, space is reasonably utilized, and meanwhile the use requirement of the automatic wheel module of the sliding plate type chassis is met.
