A robot capable of walking vertically based on the vacuum negative pressure principle comprises a motor, a base, a track, a suction cup, a chain wheel and a chain. The two ends of the base are connected with the two rails respectively, the motor is installed on the base, and the output end of the motor is connected with the chain wheel. The suction cup comprises an adjusting sliding end, an adjusting rod, a positioning block, a positioning rod, a suction cup shell, a pressure adjusting film and a suction cup contact end, the adjusting rod is connected with the pressure adjusting film in a sealing adhesion mode, the pressure adjusting film is connected with the inner circle face of the suction cup contact end in a sealing mode, one end of the positioning rod is inserted into the outer sliding way, and the other end of the positioning rod is fixedly inserted into a connecting hole between the two sections of the chain.
