The invention provides a transport system comprising an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) (1) and a device (2) to be moved, which can be safely and efficiently operated within an industrial/commercial environment, while the AMR (1) and the device (2) to be moved can be produced in a cost-efficient manner. The particular aim of the invention is to provide a support member (4) of the device to be moved, which has no or only negligible impact on the safety system, to provide a device (2) to be moved, which can carry a heavy payload, preferably hundreds to several kilograms; a safety sensor system for an AMR is provided that can provide a protection zone (5) around the AMR and the device to be moved, and wherein the support member (4) of the device to be moved (2) has no or only negligible impact on transport safety. Another object of the invention is to ensure the correct attachment of the cart/shelf (2) to the AMR (1) before and during driving.
