The invention discloses a function distribution system and method for a vehicle-road cooperation automatic driving system. The system and method serve the vehicle-road cooperation automatic driving system. The vehicle-road cooperation automatic driving system is composed of an intelligent network connection road system, an intelligent network connection vehicle system and a vehicle-road cooperation function distribution system, wherein each of the intelligent network connection road system and the intelligent network connection vehicle system comprises a sensing module, a decision module, a control module and a communication module; the function distribution system comprises a communication module, a data module and an operation module and can distribute sensing, decision making and control functions of different control levels to the intelligent network connection road system, the intelligent network connection vehicle system and a driver according to real-time scenes and the intelligent degree of the intelligent network connection road system and the intelligent degree of the intelligent network connection vehicle system. According to the invention, function distribution of the vehicle-road cooperative automatic driving system in different scenes can be realized, and automatic driving safety and system efficiency are improved.
