The invention discloses a crane structure safety evaluation system and method, and the method comprises the steps: transmitting a computer instruction through a remote control system, and controlling a coercive force detection robot to crawl on the surface of a crane metal structure at a specified speed; a coercive force flaw detection module and an image acquisition module which are installed on a coercive force detection robot mechanical body are used for acquiring data such as coercive force of a crane stress structure, and a communication module transmits the data to a nondestructive evaluation system through a wireless network transmission system. And the lossless evaluation system completes the safety evaluation of the crane stress structure by using the data and outputs an evaluation result. Based on the coercive force nondestructive testing technology, the wall-climbing robot and coercive force flaw detection are effectively combined, the fatigue state of the metal stress structure of the crane can be accurately obtained, in-service coercive force detection can be conducted on the crane, and objective and rapid evaluation on the state of the metal structure of the crane is achieved.
