The invention belongs to the technical field of robots, and discloses a robot control method and device, electronic equipment and a readable storage medium. The method comprises the steps that when it is determined that a robot is located in an elevator, an in-elevator image in the elevator is collected; key recognition is conducted on the image in the elevator, and the key state and the key position of a target floor key are obtained; if it is determined that the key state represents that the key is not pressed down, the mechanical arm is driven to execute key operation on the target floor key based on the key position; if it is determined that the key state represents that the key is pressed down, elevator floor recognition and elevator door state recognition are conducted on the image in the elevator, and a floor recognition result and an elevator door state are obtained; and if it is determined that the floor recognition result represents that the elevator arrives at the target floor, and the elevator door state represents the opening state, elevator leaving operation is executed. Therefore, when the robot takes the elevator, the tedious operation steps of controlling the robot to take the elevator are simplified, and the consumed software and hardware cost is saved.
