The invention relates to the technical field of load simulators, in particular to a coupling-device-free steering engine load simulator which comprises a motor seat and a deep groove ball bearing seat, a deep groove ball bearing is installed in the deep groove ball bearing seat, and the left side of the deep groove ball bearing is in threaded connection with a second precise locking nut, a deep groove ball bearing gland is arranged on the left side of the deep groove ball bearing, a photoelectric encoder is connected to the right side of the motor base and the deep groove ball bearing base through bolts, a special spindle is connected into the deep groove ball bearing in a matched mode, a strain sensor is attached to the special spindle, and a hollow torque motor is connected to the end, away from the deep groove ball bearing, of the special spindle. According to the steering engine load simulator without the coupling device, multiple connecting parts in a traditional steering engine load simulator structure are omitted, the integrated torque output, torque transmission, torque measurement and angle measurement functions are achieved, gaps and non-linear errors caused in transmission can be greatly reduced, and the loading precision and the dynamic response of the steering engine load simulator are improved.
