The invention provides a foldable micro underwater robot and a working method thereof. The foldable micro underwater robot comprises a foldable hydrofoil module, a control module, a buoyancy adjusting module, an energy storage driving module and an underwater robot shell. The energy storage driving module comprises a motor set, a rotary connecting block and a storage battery; the foldable hydrofoil modules are installed on the two sides of the underwater robot shell through the rotary connecting blocks and electrically connected with the motor set. The control module, the buoyancy adjusting module and the storage battery are installed on the underwater robot shell. The miniature underwater robot integrates the wave power generation function and the flapping wing driving function and has the advantages of being small in size, high in cruising ability and high in concealment.
