The present application relates to a coasting energy recovery system (10) which comprises a target energy recovery calculation unit (1) that calculates a coasting power currently required to be recovered on the basis of a desired deceleration; a recovery capability calculation unit (2) that calculates a currently recoverable coasting power taking into account the current recovery capability of the vehicle; a comparison unit (3) used for comparing the sliding power needing to be recycled with the sliding power capable of being recycled and outputting a comparison result; and a decision-making unit (4) which obtains the comparison result and triggers a braking system of the vehicle to brake under the condition that the sliding power needing to be recycled is larger than the sliding power capable of being recycled.
