The invention discloses a method and system for calculating coasting energy recovery torque. The method comprises the following steps that: working condition information is obtained, and whether an automobile enters an energy recovery working condition or not is judged according to the working condition information, and the working condition signals comprise an accelerator pedal signal, a brake pedal signal, a vehicle speed signal and a gear signal; and if the automobile enters the energy recovery working condition, the coasting recovery energy torque is calculated according to the acceleratorpedal signal and the automobile speed signal. According to the method and system, the sliding energy recovery torque can be adjusted in real time according to the driving intention of a driver, suchas the accelerator pedal signal and the vehicle speed signal, continuous adjustment of sliding energy recovery is achieved, and the energy recovery degree and the drivability of a driver are balancedin real time.
