The invention provides a ship surface rust removal device which comprises a fixing mechanism (1), a rust removal device carrying body (2), a rust removal mechanism (3), a waste residue recycling mechanism (4) and a moving mechanism (5), and the fixing mechanism (1) is located at the top end of the rust removal device carrying body (2) and used for being connected with the rust removal device carrying body (2) and an overhead working truck. The overhead working truck serves as an auxiliary power source of the ship surface rust removal device so as to control the rust removal device to move forwards, backwards, leftwards and rightwards on a ship surface. One end of the rust removal mechanism (3) is exposed at the bottom of the rust removal device carrying body (2), is in contact with the working surface of the ship surface and is used for removing rust on the ship surface. The waste residue recycling mechanism (4) is located in the rust removal device carrying body (2), the tail end of the waste residue recycling mechanism (4) is connected with a negative pressure suction filtration device through a corrugated pipe, and the waste residue recycling mechanism (4) is used for recycling waste residues generated during rust removal operation. The moving mechanism (5) is arranged on the side edge of the rust removal device carrying body (2) and makes direct contact with the working surface.
