The invention relates to a lifting system capable of achieving automatic horizontal adjustment and a method. In one embodiment of the invention, the lifting system capable of achieving automatic horizontal adjustment comprises a plurality of guide supporting devices, a plurality of lifting mechanisms, a plurality of motors and a horizontal position sensor, the guide supporting devices are connected to a lifted device; the lifting mechanisms are respectively connected to the corresponding guide supporting devices; the motors are arranged on the corresponding lifting mechanisms respectively and used for driving the corresponding lifting mechanisms to drive the corresponding guide supporting devices to ascend or descend; and the horizontal position sensor is arranged on the top of one guide supporting device in the plurality of guide supporting devices, and is used for detecting the inclination of the lifted device and transmitting a signal based on a detection result to control the plurality of motors.
