The invention discloses an image shooting method and an unmanned aerial vehicle. The method comprises the following steps of receiving a shooting instruction sent by a control terminal; acquiring a preset initial focal length and a preset ending focal length; and changing from the initial focal length to the ending focal length, and shooting an image in the focal length changing process. Therefore, by implementing the method described by the invention, the image shooting difficulty can be simplified, and the shooting precision can also be improved.
