The invention relates to an underwater detection robot, which comprises a body, a detection device and a processor, the detection device and the processor are arranged on the body, and the body is further provided with an adsorption device used for adsorbing a ship body and a movement device used for driving a robot to move relative to the ship body. The adsorption device and the movement device are located on the side, close to the ship body, of the body, the body is further provided with a cleaning device, the cleaning device is located in front of the movement device in the advancing direction of the robot, and the detection device, the movement device and the cleaning device are all electrically connected with the processor; and when the detection device detects that an obstacle exists in the advancing direction of the robot, the processor controls the cleaning device to work, or the processor controls the movement device to avoid the obstacle. The robot has the characteristics of more comprehensive detection result, better flexibility and the like.
