The invention relates to a wheel speed sensor, a control method thereof and an automobile, and belongs to the field of automobiles. The wheel speed sensor comprises four sub wheel speed sensors and a controller. Each sub wheel speed sensor comprises a rotor, a signal detection module, a signal processing module and a wireless transmission module. Rotors of the four sub wheel speed sensors are mounted on four vehicle hubs of a vehicle respectively; the signal detection modules are used for being installed on a body of the vehicle, the signal detection module and the rotor of the same sub wheel speed sensor are opposite, and the signal detection modules are used for detecting an alternating magnetic field generated by rotation of the opposite rotors and generating first wheel speed signals; the signal processing modules are used for acquiring the first wheel speed signals generated by the signal detection module of the same sub wheel speed sensor, and amplifying and filtering the first wheel speed signals to form second wheel speed signals; the wireless transmission modules are used for obtaining the second wheel speed signals output by the signal processing module of the same sub wheel speed sensor and sending the second wheel speed signals to the controller.
