The invention relates to the technical field of hoisting equipment, in particular to a novel bridge crane which comprises two bridge frames fixedly arranged on the two sides of a workshop correspondingly, two moving devices movably arranged on the two bridge frames correspondingly, a cross beam connected between the two moving devices and a hoisting device movably arranged on the cross beam. The novel bridge crane further comprises two walking trolleys movably arranged on the two bridge frames correspondingly, a connecting frame connected between the two walking trolleys, a sliding piece movably arranged on the connecting frame and a limiting rod. One end of the limiting rod is hinged to the sliding piece, and the other end of the limiting rod is hinged to the hoisting end of the hoisting device. A limiting mechanism is arranged between the sliding piece and the hoisting device and used for limiting relative movement between the cross beam and the connecting frame when the moving devices operate and releasing limitation when the hoisting device operates. According to the novel bridge crane, the shaking of materials can be reduced, so that the threat of material shaking to an operator is reduced.
