The invention discloses a method and device for measuring the road occupancy in a traffic monitoring scene, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining traffic monitoring video data, determining a region of interest ROI and a vehicle in a road, delimiting the far and near boundaries of an occupancy calculation region in a video image according to the effective detection range of the ROI, and calculating the real length of a lane in the occupancy calculation region; and counting the number and category of the vehicles, carrying out real length standardization processing on the vehicle length, obtaining the total length of the vehicles in the occupancy calculation area, and finally comparing the total length of the vehicles with the real total length of the lane to obtain the road occupancy. The method and system only need to monitor video data, automatically calculate the road occupancy in real time and objectively reflect the congestion use condition of the current road, solve the problems that equipment of a traditional detection method is easy to age and damage, complex in construction, high in price and the like, are high in measurement accuracy, is not influenced by a video shooting angle, and have a good application prospect in urban traffic congestion state judgment. The traffic scheduling management is of great significance.

    交通监控场景道路占有率的测定方法及装置,获取交通监控视频数据,确定道路中感兴趣区域ROI及车辆,根据ROI有效检测范围划定视频图像中占有率计算区域的远近边界,并计算占有率计算区域内车道的真实长度;同时统计出车辆数目、类别,对车辆长度作真实长度标准化处理,获取占有率计算区域内车辆的总长度,最后将车辆的总长度比上车道的真实总长度,得到道路占有率。本发明只需监控视频数据,自动实时计算道路占有率,客观反映当前道路的拥堵使用状况,解决了传统检测方法的设备易老化损坏、施工复杂、价格昂贵等问题,测定准确率高,不受视频拍摄角度影响,对于实现城市交通拥挤状态判别,交通的调度管理有着重要的意义。
