A tire ground contact characteristic measuring method according to the present invention includes a reproducing step of reproducing, in a tire, a transient variation in a tire attitude during travel of an actual vehicle, a stress measuring step of a stress measuring means embedded in a rotatable rotating drum measuring stress acting on the tire in contact with the rotating drum which is being driven in rotation, and a calculating step of calculating, on the basis of the stress measured by the stress measuring means, a tire ground contact characteristic, which is a characteristic in a ground region, in contact with the rotating drum, of a tread surface of the tire, wherein the tire ground contact characteristic calculated in the calculating step is the tire ground contact characteristic of the tire corresponding to the tire attitude of the actual vehicle at each time point during a period in which the transient variation is occurring.

    本发明的轮胎接地特性测量方法包括以下步骤:再现步骤,将实车行驶时的轮胎姿势的瞬态变化再现于轮胎;应力测定步骤,埋设于能够旋转的旋转转鼓上的应力测定单元测定施加到与被进行旋转驱动的所述旋转转鼓抵接的所述轮胎的应力;以及计算步骤,基于通过所述应力测定单元测定出的应力,来计算轮胎接地特性,该轮胎接地特性是所述轮胎的胎面表面中的与所述旋转转鼓接触的接地区域的特性,其中,在所述计算步骤中计算的轮胎接地特性是与在发生所述瞬态变化的期间中的各时间点的实车的轮胎姿势对应的所述轮胎的轮胎接地特性。
