The invention discloses a tail end braking system for tower crane slewing, and relates to the technical field of safety control of building construction hoisting equipment. The braking system comprises a power supply line A and a power supply line C which are used for being connected with a positive electrode end and a negative electrode end of a tower crane slewing braking circuit, and a rechargeable accumulator connected with the tower crane slewing braking circuit in parallel, wherein a normally-open relay K1 and a switch S1 are connected with the power supply line A in series, a normally-closed relay KM is connected between a static contact of the normally-open relay K1 and a positive electrode end of the rechargeable accumulator, a negative electrode end of the rechargeable accumulator is connected with the power supply line C, the switch S1 is arranged between the static contact of the normally-open relay K1 and a positive electrode of the tower crane slewing braking circuit, and the rechargeable accumulator is connected with a charging circuit. According to the tail end braking system for tower crane slewing, when a tower crane is powered off and cannot stop slewing, a tail end braking switch can be turned on, a slewing brake can be made to act to brake the slewing tower crane, and the tail end braking switch can be automatically turned off in a strong wind environment, so that a tower crane jib is prevented from being damaged by wind power.
