The invention discloses a traction control system, and the system comprises a traction power-on self-test module which is used for carrying out power-on self-test before departure and feeding back a self-test result to a TCMS; the driving mode switching module is used for switching driving modes under different working conditions; the traction instruction module is used for receiving a traction instruction train line and performing traction control according to the train line state acquired by the TCMS by a traction system after the traction instruction train line is electrified; the train overspeed protection module is used for the TCMS to detect the running speed of the train in real time, and when the TCMS detects that the running speed of the train exceeds a preset range, corresponding protection measures are taken; the braking force distribution module is used for reducing network transmission delay, a traction system sends electric braking related information to an MVB bus, and a braking system directly obtains the electric braking related information from a corresponding port; and the traction level judgment module is used for judging the train traction level signal.
