The invention discloses a hydraulic drive steering axle assembly which comprises a steering trapezoid mechanism, a hydraulic oil cylinder driving the steering trapezoid mechanism, an oil tank and an oil pump, wherein the oil tank and the oil pump supply oil to the hydraulic oil cylinder, and the oil tank and the oil pump are installed on an axle shaft of the steering trapezoid mechanism. One end of the hydraulic oil cylinder is connected to a trapezoidal arm of the steering trapezoidal mechanism, the other end of the hydraulic oil cylinder is connected to the axle shaft, wheels are installed at the two ends of the axle shaft through steering knuckles and wheel end assemblies respectively, and the upper end face of the middle of the axle shaft is higher than the wheel centers of the wheels. According to the hydraulic drive steering axle assembly, the axle shaft is of a negative fall (the fall is upward relative to the wheel center) shaft structure, the minimum ground clearance of the steering axle is increased, the minimum ground clearance is remarkably increased, the trafficability of vehicles on complex protruding road surfaces is remarkably improved, and the trafficability function of the axle is well achieved.
