Vehicle traction equipment receives and sends out a starting signaland a motion direction signal which are sent out when a traction motor of a tested vehicle drives wheels to rotate; after receiving the starting signal, a color measuring instrument monitors the color change of a colored tape arranged on the outer circular surface of the wheels in real time and sends out a color change signal in real time; monitoring equipment receives and judges whether the color change rule of the motion direction signal is consistent with the color change rule of the color change signal or not; if so, it is considered that the steering of the traction motor is correct; ifnot, it is considered that steering of the traction motor is wrong, and a brake control signal is sent out; and vehicle brake control equipment receives the brake control signal and uses the brake control signal to brake and park the tested vehicle. Compared with manual identification and judgment of the steering direction of the traction motor of the railway vehicle, the system has higher accuracy and safety.
