The invention discloses a traffic violation monitoring method based on an unmanned aerial vehicle, and the method comprises the following steps that 1, an inspection route and a monitoring behavior are deployed in a terminal server, the inspection route is realized through a GPS positioning module, fixed-point duty and route inspection are included, and the monitoring behavior comprises vehicle illegal parking, pedestrian violation and vehicle driving violation; 2, the terminal server uploads the inspection route and the monitoring behavior information to an unmanned aerial vehicle control system; 3, an unmanned aerial vehicle control system controls the unmanned aerial vehicle to fly to a fixed-point position; 4, route inspection is carried out by starting an image acquisition and violation inspection system; and 5, an image acquisition and violation inspection system is included. According to the traffic violation monitoring method based on the unmanned aerial vehicle, an imaging device, a machine vision processing unit, a wireless transmission module and a holder are arranged on the unmanned aerial vehicle, traffic detection is carried out on key areas and areas not covered by traffic signal lamps, and the requirement for accurate and rapid law enforcement is met.
