The invention provides an unmanned aerial vehicle for traffic monitoring and a monitoring method thereof, the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a main body, supporting legs are mounted on the side wall of the main body, and adjusting mechanisms for improving the flight stability of the main body are mounted on the side walls of the supporting legs; the side wall of the fixing rod is rotationally connected with a wing with a spinning-cone-shaped section, and a wave-absorbing material is adhered to the surface of the wing; a chuck for removing sundries is obliquely mounted at one end of the wing, and a plurality of bumps for increasing the friction force of the chuck are mounted on the side wall of the chuck; driving mechanisms are mounted on the side walls of the marking mechanism and the fixing rod, each driving mechanism comprises a box body, the box body is mounted on the side wall of the fixing rod, and a hydraulic rod for driving a first toothed plate to move up and down is mounted at the top end of each box body; the first toothed plate is meshed with a gear, and a notch is formed in the middle of the side wall of the first toothed plate; the unmanned aerial vehicle for traffic monitoring and the monitoring method thereof provided by the invention have the advantages of reducing the interference of the high-speed rail to the unmanned aerial vehicle and improving the flight stability of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
