The invention relates to a vehicle steering auxiliary method. The method comprises the steps of acquiring driver feature information of a current vehicle, first state information of the current vehicle and second state information of a target obstacle in front of the current vehicle; determining a predicted steering track of the current vehicle based on the driver feature information; determininga target latest steering position of the current vehicle based on the predicted steering track, the first state information and the second state information, wherein the target latest steering position is a latest position for avoiding the target obstacle when the current vehicle turns according to the predicted steering track; and when the current vehicle is monitored to run to the target lateststeering position, starting a vehicle steering auxiliary system. By implementing the invention, collision can be avoided in a place closer to an obstacle, and the operation stability of the vehicle isensured.
