The invention discloses a steel rail potential limiting device operation overvoltage suppression circuit and method, and the suppression circuit is formed by the series connection of an energy absorption resistor and a bypass contactor. And the circuit is connected in parallel between two ends of a main loop fracture of a main contactor of a steel rail potential limiting device in an existing urban rail transit traction power supply system or is bridged between a walking steel rail and a ground network in the existing urban rail transit traction power supply system. According to the suppression method, a control strategy that the main contactor of the steel rail potential limiting device is firstly switched on and then switched off and the bypass contactor is then switched on and then switched off is mainly utilized to achieve the purposes that the main contactor bears switching-on impact current and the bypass contactor cuts off buffer branch current to limit operation overvoltage. The circuit and the method have the advantages that the safety is not sacrificed while the operation overvoltage of the steel rail potential limiting device is stably and effectively inhibited, and thesafe physical isolation fracture of the steel rail and the ground network is reserved.

    本发明公开了一种钢轨电位限制装置操作过电压抑制电路及方法,所述抑制电路由吸能电阻及旁路接触器串联而成,且并联在现有城市轨道交通牵引供电系统中的钢轨电位限制装置的主接触器主回路断口两端或跨接于现有城市轨道交通牵引供电系统中的走行钢轨与地网之间。所述抑制方法主要利用钢轨电位限制装置主接触器先合先分,旁路接触器后合后分的控制策略,来实现主接触器承载合闸冲击电流,旁路接触器切断缓冲支路电流限制操作过电压的目的。本发明的优点是:在稳定有效的抑制钢轨电位限制装置操作过电压的同时不牺牲安全性,保留钢轨与地网的安全物理隔离断口。
