The device comprises a carrying device, a cradle head arranged on the carrying device, and detection equipment arranged on the cradle head, a first electric rod is transversely arranged in the frame body, the first electric rod is electrically connected with the electronic cabin, a connecting rod is arranged at the output end of the first electric rod, and a suction cup assembly is arranged at the tail end of the connecting rod; a submersiblepump is further arranged in the frame, the output end of the submersible pump communicates with a water pipe, the input end of the submersible pump communicates with the outside, and the tail end ofthe water pipe is connected with the sucker assembly to pump away water at the suction end of the sucker assembly or input water to the suction end of the sucker assembly. The detection equipment comprises an optical camera and a three-dimensional imaging sonar which are electrically connected with the electronic cabin. The device solves the problems that an underwater defect detection robot in the prior art is difficult to control when being close to the surface of the dam and image information and reflected sound wave information of the surface of the dam are inconvenient to stably obtain, and has a good application prospect.
