The invention relates to an escalator hand strap and step speed synchronization deviation detection device and belongs to the technical field of escalator or moving sidewalk detection. The detection device comprises a marking module, a deviation measurement module, a step running distance measurement module and a comprehensive display and control module. The marking module is arranged at a specified position of a hand strap, moves along with the hand strap and is used for generating a mark on a specified step. The mark can correspondingly deviate due to the speed synchronization deviation of the hand strap and the step. The deviation measurement module is used for measuring a deviation value generated by the mark in a set time period. The step running distance measurement module is used for measuring the running distance of the horizontal step in the set time period. The comprehensive display and control module is used for acquiring data measured by the deviation measurement module andthe step running distance measurement module and calculating the speed synchronization deviation between the hand strap and the step.
