The automatic unhooking and hooking method comprises an automatic hooking step and an automatic unhooking step for a lifting hook and a steel ladle of a crane trolley, wherein in the automatic hooking step and the automatic unhooking step, laser radar assemblies respectively arranged on the two sides of a crane cart areused for automatically recognizing and positioning the relative position between the lifting hook and the steel ladle so that the lifting hook and the steel ladle can be automatically hooked and unhooked. The invention further provides an automatic unhooking and hooking system for the crane. According to the automatic unhooking and hooking method and system for the crane, a laser radar technologycan be used for rapidly and reliably recognizing, positioning, detecting and completing the unhooking and hooking of the crane, and the automatic unhooking and hooking method and system for the craneis high in accuracy and good in environmental adaptability.
