An embodiment of the present invention provides a motor unit which rotates an axle of a vehicle. The motor unit is provided with: a motor which has a motor shaft rotating about a motor axis; a transmitting mechanism which is connected to the motor shaft and which transmits the power of the motor to an output shaft; a housing which contains the motor and the transmitting mechanism; an oil passage which is provided within the housing; and a first oil pump and a second oil pump, which circulate oil through the oil passage. The first oil pump and the second oil pump can supply oil to the transmitting mechanism. The first oil pump is an electrically driven oil pump.
