The invention discloses an abnormal attitude detection system and method for a multi-rotor aircraft. The system comprises a controller and flight attitude acquisition modules distributed in a cross shape, wherein each flight attitude acquisition module comprises a gyroscope sensor and a first encoder connected with a motor of the multi-rotor aircraft through a connecting shaft; the gyroscope sensor is positioned above the first encoder; an isolation rubber pad is arranged between the gyroscope sensor and the first encoder; the gyroscope sensor and the first encoder are both fixedly connected with the isolation rubber pad, one side of the gyroscope sensor is provided with a connecting rod used for being fixedly connected with the multi-rotor aircraft, one end of the connecting rod is provided with a protective cover body, and the gyroscope sensor, the isolation rubber pad and the first encoder are all inserted into the protective cover body. The abnormal attitude detection system of a multi-rotor aircraft is simple and convenient to operate and low in cost, and can also be used for testing the stability in a laboratory environment.
