The invention relates to a surging motion suppression device for a ship, and relates to the field of ship single-point mooring engineering. The surging motion suppression device comprises at least twofirst suppression rods arranged at intervals and suppression assemblies. One end of each first suppression rod is used for being connected with a ship, and other end is at least partially used for extending below the sea level; the middle sections of the two first suppression rods are used for being connected with a rotary platform system, the suppression assemblies are arranged at the ends, extending to the position below the sea level, of the first suppression rods, and the suppression assemblies are used for absorbing part of kinetic energy of ocean currents so as to jointly act with the first suppression rods to suppress surging motion of the ship. The surging motion suppression device provided by the invention is simple in structure, can effectively suppress surging motion of the ship in a single-point mooring state, and better solves the problems of large oscillation amplitude and long attenuation time of the surging motion of the ship in the single-point mooring state.
