The method comprises the steps of calculating allowable peak power and continuous power of a battery; calculating the actual use power of the whole vehicle; and carrying out power comparison. According to the invention, ideal power values are obtained according to the state of charge SOC of the battery and the temperature of the battery, including peak power and continuous power; the actual use power is compared with the target peak power and the target continuous power, and the continuous power and the peak power are switched by combining the judgment of the continuous use time of the power. And meanwhile, a judgment threshold tending to beoverheated and a judgment threshold tending to be over-discharged are set to be used for distinguishing power use durations in the charging and discharging process, so that the peak power and the continuous power are switched step by step for use. Discharge protection can be performed in advance to prevent the battery cell from being in a peak discharge state for a long time so as to avoid the problems of overdischarge and overheating caused by the peak discharge state.
