The invention provides a power supply method and device for a double heading electric locomotive. The method comprises the steps: configuring a voltage monitoring module to monitor the local power supply conditions of two rows of double heading locomotives, and generating a corresponding control signal according to the local power supply conditions of the two rows of double heading locomotives; and configuring a control circuit to receive the control signal and control the corresponding locomotive to perform switching between local power supply and networking power supply according to the control signal. The device comprises a voltage monitoring module and a control circuit and is used for implementing the power supply method. The power supply method and the power supply device for the double heading locomotive have the beneficial effects that automatic switching between local power utilization and networking power supply of the double heading locomotive is realized, so that long-timestable operation of the charging locomotive is ensured.
