The invention discloses an axial position adjusting type rudder bearing for a ship. The rudder bearing comprises a rudder bearing body, a rotating sleeve body, a telescopic sealing ring, an axial driving mechanism and a clamping and positioning mechanism. According to the rudder bearing, the structure of the rotating sleeve body is designed in a traditional rudder bearing body; the rotation driving of the rotating sleeve body is convenient; the axial driving mechanism is additionally adopted; the rotating sleeve body rotates in the rudder bearing body, meanwhile, a rotating plate and a rotating frame rotate at the upper end of a positioning block on one side of the rudder bearing body; on the other side of the rudder bearing body, a telescopic rod, a rotating column and the rotating framerotate at the upper end of the positioning block, meanwhile, the telescopic rod telescopically slides in a guide groove of the rotating column, so that the rotating sleeve body rotates more stably; finally, the inner ends of two clamping screws abut against and are connected to the two sides of the rotating plate in a clamped mode, so that a locking structure of the rotating plate is formed, and then the structure of the whole axial driving mechanism and the structure of the rotating sleeve body are locked.
