The invention discloses a rear axle damping shock absorber of an electric tricycle. The shock absorber comprises a first sleeve and a second sleeve which are coaxially sleeved. The first sleeve comprises an inner pipe and an outer pipe which are coaxially and fixedly arranged; an inner diameter of the second sleeve is not smaller than an outer diameter of the inner pipe; and the outer diameter ofthe second sleeve is not larger than the inner diameter of the outer pipe, a friction sleeve is fixedly arranged on the inner wall of the second sleeve, and the inner wall of the friction sleeve is ininterference fit with the outer wall of the inner pipe. According to the rear axle damping shock absorber of the electric tricycle, internal components are effectively reduced, production cost is reduced, and a problem of medium oil leakage is effectively avoided.
