The invention discloses a rescue control method of an elevator without a machine room, the elevator without the machine room and a rescue assistance device. The rescue assistance device comprises a traction mechanism and a fixed mechanism. The traction mechanism comprises an installation part used for being connected with a lift car, a traction rope and a driver which can release or withdraw the traction rope. A connection portion is arranged at the free end of the traction rope. The fixed mechanism comprises a fixed part which is fixedly arranged in a shaft way or pit. The fixed part is provided with a cooperation portion which is detachably and fixedly connected with the connection portion. The rescue assistance device can generate tensile force to assist the lift car in sliding downwards, so that the rescue efficiency and the safety of the elevator without the machine room are advantageously improved. Because the rescue assistance device is adopted by the elevator without the machine room, the rescue efficiency and the safety of the elevator without the machine room are improved, and the elevator can run more safely.
