The control method comprises the steps: obtaining the target rotating speed of a traction motor; judging a speed interval where the target rotating speed is located, the speed interval at least comprising a first speed interval 0-f1, a second speed interval f1-f2 and a third speed interval f2-f3; a corresponding pulse width modulation signal is generated according to the speed interval where the target rotating speed is located; the pulse width modulation signal is sent to the traction converter; the traction motor is driven by the traction converter; wherein a first pulse width modulation signal is generated if the target rotating speed is within a first speed interval of 0-f1, a second pulsewidth modulation signal is generated if the target rotating speed is within a second speed interval of f1-f2, and a third pulse width modulation signal is generated if the target rotating speed is within a third speed interval of f2-f3. According to the control method, the complexity of traction motor control can be reduced, and development of traction motor control products is facilitated.
