The invention relates to a magnetorheological fluid retarder and a control method thereof. The characteristics of a magnetorheological fluid valve are used and applied to a valve to generate a high back pressure so as to perform braking. The braking torque is large, the response is fast, and the safety of a braking system is greatly improved. When braking is not required, the retarder does not work, and all excitation coils are not energized. When braking is required and the retarder receives a retarding brake signal, an excitation coil module is energized, the electric current is from small to large, an oil port is gradually closed, and the internal back pressure of the retarder gradually increases, and then the braking force is gradually increased, so that the retarding effect is achieved.

    本发明涉及一种磁流变液缓速器及其控制方法,是利用磁流变液阀门特性,应用阀门产生高背压,从而进行制动,该制动制动力矩大,响应快,极大的提高了制动系统的安全性。当不需要制动时,缓速器不工作,所有励磁线圈均不通电,当需要制动时,缓速器接到缓速制动信号时,励磁线圈模组通电,电流由小到大,油口逐渐关闭,缓速器内部背压随之逐步增大,进而导致制动力逐渐增大,达到缓速效果。
